A born performer exposed to a plethora of classical and folk forms, Moumita received extensive guidannce in Bharat Natyam. She has been associated with Sapphire since a very early age and is part of most existent productions. And apart from her training in contemporary dance from Sapphire she has also trained with Jan Pusch of Germany.

Her flair for the stage along with talents for styling and the art of make-up coupled with her extraordinary grasp of he contemporary form has won her accolades in India and abroad.

She is presently part of a multinational cultural venture 'Bharati', a musical inspired by India and Bollywood which is travelling 14 countries over a period of two years. Chosen among talented performers from over the country she is one of the lead performers of the production and continues to perform for Sapphire while in Kolkata.
