Sapphire intends to this in its own work and also encourages this through its festival INTERFACE that is a part of the larger LINK-THE-ARTS movement.

Dance is a non-verbal language that can voice statements often more effectively than real words. It is a powerful medium of communication, and the ability to express oneself is often extremely therapeutic to the individual and his mental and physical systems. Dance therapy quite popular in the West has been absorbed in Sapphire’s dance structure and is a way of reaching out to persons suffering from low esteem, mental or physical disability and HIV/AIDS patients. On the cards is an interactive dance-visual montage presentation on HIV-positive individuals and their lives.
